Inflation is no doubt on all keen Austrian minds right now. And if you drink cans of beer in London you know exactly what I mean. So Max Keiser has done this film on Fiat Money Inflation in France and at about 5:10 and 7:20 into the 2nd video, he remarks on how the french attacked shops and blamed the shop keeper in times of high inflation.
Beer. I just went to stock up. Recently prices have jumped between 8% and 20%. And I know VAT is playing it’s part but alone does not justify these hikes.
I had a chat with a Marxist about it and he told me how he throws boxes of matches back at shop keepers when they tell him they’re 20p. But it seems your average marxist is stuck in the 19th century (duh) mentality of the Parisians who pointed the finger at the shop keepers.
Of course, often this is all the poorest can see. The shop keeper charging them more.
And inflation hits the poor the hardest, thus my thought for the bourgeoisie today is, when the mob attacks, step out the way and reveal the state they pray to as the beast that preys on them.
(Afterthought: If class war is moral as a form of self defense, then that war must be an alliance of workers and free market businesses against the political entrepreneurs.)
